Good thing Delta goes first, because from this distance, York would know Delta was eyeing him. As it is he tries not to be self-conscious as he goes to gather up his towel and start drying off. "You can shower here if you like, rather than in our room?"

'Yeah, I'll do that. I won't be long.' The pool seems pretty safe, but even so, he's in and out in a couple of minutes, just enough time to wash the chlorine out of his hair, then he starts drying as well.

Truly not long, but long enough for Delta to finish drying off and get towels draped around himself. Really, he thinks he wants to head back to his room and change into something other than what he has here. It has to be suitable to heading outside and through a place that is being reconstructed. Which he didn't bring here. Clearly his mind is not as put together as he would like to be. He's just a bit bothered by the world right now.

Days ago he felt like he was composed, in charge of his life. And now? Now he doesn't rightly know.

York is quick to dry and get dressed again, heading out with the helmet tucked under his arm. His proper armor should be arriving, hopefully tomorrow, and for all the freedom Delta's giving him, he's eager to get back into his second skin. He'll feel more settled then, which, given the current circumstances around the house, they could definitely do with.

'Ready.'

There is still a lot of work Delta is going to need to get that armor finalized. Tomorrow the undersuit will be there. The rest only if Delta buckles down and throws himself into his work. Seeing the helmet reminds him of that.

"Alright," Delta says. "We'll go see the house after we change, and then I have to get to work I suppose."

'Sounds like a plan.' With that, he puts the helmet on and locks it in place. 'Let me know where I can help at any point.' If it's not obvious. And of course there will be the underlying protection at all times.

"With the house, it will be in evaluating what you might desire and how I can improve security. With the other work, it will mostly be making sure I keep fed and hydrated. There's a lot to do before your armor can be fabricated. I know I got the undersuit stuff done today, and basic armor in your size will be here tomorrow, but I think I'm going to invest some time in more specialized work."

Which means York's going to have a fall back armor that is just basic, but hey, it will be top of the line basic.

York nods, beginning to make mental notes of ideas or necessities. Security, he'll happily go all out in, food and drink might take a little more getting used to, but he'll figure it out. 'Basic armor should be fine for now,' he says. 'Specialised will of course make things better.' He can manage without for the time being. He's adaptable.

Delta nods and finally moves to the door to unlock it. Once it's open he stands there to let York go out first. He's getting a bit used to this, okay? Not the greatest, but he's getting used to it.

York steps past Delta and out into the hall. A quick scan reveals all clear, providing no one has cloaking tech, which is very possible. But it's as good as they'll get so he carries on forward to encourage Delta to follow.

They barely see anyone as they make their way through the mansion to Delta's room. Once he's got them in there Delta seems quite a bit relieved. He takes a minute to towel his hair as dry as he can manage it.

"Anything else I can get you before we go outside?" Delta asks. He's got to change of course.

Yes, Delta definitely needs a secure, safe space to relax. They'll make sure the new house can give him that stability.

'Ideally, I could do with a weapon.' It's been strange going without even a pistol this long.

"What sort?" Delta asks, because those are things he can achieve quickly. There is an armory here. "Perhaps I should get something other than a taser."

'Guns, ideally. And a knife. I can use most short and mid ranged guns.' Sniping was North and Wyoming's area. 'Taser's a good start. Have you used any other weapons before?'

[protective_logic]

"Never," Delta says honestly. "I learned to pick locks, but my father said I shouldn't carry other things. I made the taser myself."

Yeah, well they've already established Delta's smarter than his father. 'I recommend learning. While I will of course do everything I can to protect you, it doesn't hurt to know how to defend yourself.'

"You'd teach me then?" Delta smiles. He likes the sound of that.

'I'd be happy to teach you,' he agrees. Weapons use and swimming. An interesting combination.

[protective_logic]

And perhaps a decent way to build up some trust. Obedience in stressful situations too.

With that in mind Delta goes into his room to retrieve some clothes. He changes quickly and returns, looking around for better shoes to go outside. "Are you okay with going to see the pool house now?"

He might need to think through how to teach weapon handling. Swimming is a fairly obvious progression, but weapons will take more planning.

But that can wait until after they've visited the house. 'Yes.'

Alright then. Delta takes a deep breathe and considers. He doesn't have anything for them to protect themselves with.

"You... should message Phi. She might have a gun you can have for now.">

'Good plan.' He switches over to the private link he and Phi had set up the night before. Was it so recently?

'Hey, Phi. Don't suppose you have any guns I could borrow? Or know where I could acquire some?'

[protective_logic]

"Gun? Well... I can get you one. You heading out? I don't suggest it. The mansion area is still safer than out in the city."

'Thank you. Should I come meet you for it? We're going to the Pool house.'

[protective_logic]

"I can meet you both out there," she offers instead. Beta's pretty much settled for the day.
