"I'm the one who selected the architect," Delta admits. He was careful in arranging things, after all. For his own safety. "I'm in charge of much of this."
“I keep them on a specialized hard drive in my rooms,” Delta explained as he skirted around the edge of the pool the walls were going up around. No doubt, with as security conscious as he tried to be, they were quite seriously protected.
Hell, Delta seemed pretty on top of this. "Great. I'm more than willing to help witch schematics and plan security features, even install some of them." He'd make sure Delta was safe in here.
Well don't tense, Delta's smiling at York, clearly pleased with this news. And he doesn't even think it's background stuff. York's explanation was a good one in his book.
"That's wonderful! We'll be able to manage things better!"
"Sounds great to me. Is there special gear I should be acquiring for you?"
He will happily provide everything that York needs and more. Including he needs to get more controllers for them to play games with. And another VR movie system.
Under his helmet, York lights up and his fingers twitch at the thought of familiar tools in his hands. He begins listing off the gear he would need for decent security work and instillation.
And of course Delta makes mental notes of it all as they continue moving through the space.
"You're quite thorough," he muses when York finally rattles to a stop, at this point standing in a roughly framed area that looks like it would be perhaps a study or something. "This is where your room will be."
York politely doesn't comment on the blush and turns his helmeted head so as not or appear to be staring. Whatever will keep Delta both safe and comfortable. Hopefully they won't often contradict.
Hopefully they won't, but he doesn't know that it will work out. As it is, Delta continues the polite tour around the space, noting intended safety features and rooms. Discussing his ideas of how to make his place quiet and controlled.
When they're done, Delta guides them back around toward the back of the mansion.
That makes Delta smile. There is hope. He might have a home, and that's all he wants. He does guide York on, happy to stay close to his Hawk. His... his friend.
"Personal for us both I hope. Seeing as you've had your lot thrown in with mine."
But he doesn't think he minds so much. Not right now. He slips them back in through a back door of the mansion, into the kitchens they had been in that morning. From there York can probably remember the path back to Delta's space.
York can see the tension drop from Delta's shoulders as the door closes behind them and behind his helmet, his jaw clenches. He really shouldn't feel unsafe in his own home.

"You can do installations?"
Words mirroring thoughts.

"I can. Helps to know locks and systems if you know how they're wired in." True.

He nods, looking around the rough area, noting its position in relation to the other sections. "This will be good."

"So, what do you think?"

He's rather looking forward to planning it all out, an ongoing project they can work on.

He does indeed remember the way and leads them back, keeping a trained eye out for trouble.

"What's the point to all this space, when we all go back to our own corners at the end of the night?" he mumbles as they approach his room.

They reached the door and York kept an eye out while Delta opened it. He'd be glad to get back into the relative safety of Delta's wing.

“I still need to work on your designs. But I feel like I could use a break after all of that. Fuck, never thought to feel unsafe in my own home.”

"Soon your home will be a place you feel safe."
