"...Yeah, that's fair." There's only so much they can do, of course, considering who she's married to, but there's certainly call to not drag her further into everything.
With a sigh Delta puts his data pad aside. He can’t focus on work right now. So he looks to York instead, his expression soft.
“Maybe we can work on something else instead? I know I am supposed to be working on the armor, and most of it is ready for fabrication, but... I just need something that isn’t this work.”
He needs to figure out how to make it all better. And sure, swimming had been great for that, but there was something else needed. A connection to the other man perhaps.
Delta's expression reminds him all over again part of why he wanted to go with this man. There's a deep kindness there, an honest care, and just the sight of it makes him feel warm. Though it can be hard to tell with the armor, Delta may notice York's shoulders easing slightly.
At least York wasn’t too annoyed with the pieced together armor for now. Probably helped that Delta had no intention of going outside for at least a week. Because life was a mess after his father’s little stunt.
It's hard to tell when someone lights up while wearing full armor, but the smile in York's tone makes it clear. "Oh yeah, we had a number of them before. Good use of downtime, even if they could get competitive."

Which might partially explain why he's so... awkward.
