'I'll bear that in mind,' he says, making a note of the description.

The weapon is good and will serve for now until he can get a wider variety. He loads the clip and attaches it to his armour, feeling a little more settled.

"Are we ready to go then?"

He will trust York to make the determination. He believes the other man would protect him, and he's willing to put his faith in York for this.

Delta still seemed nervous, but with York armed

'I believe this is the best we're going to get until I'm fully kitted out. So unless you would prefer to wait until then, we can go now.'

They will never be truly safe, he does not trust Alpha not to turn his Hawks directly against them, but they'll take what precautions they can.

"Then we should go now, before I can get too nervous about this," Delta answered, moving for the door. Come on, he needs to do this now. They should be going while they can.

'Let's go then.' He follows to the door, then steps in front of Delta as he opens it and looks out, scanning the surroundings.

Delta hesitates for a moment, then heads out. He takes the man through a careful route to get them outside as quickly as he could, and the nearest door toward the small pool house.

York follows closely on high alert, scanning the area around them, checking his six and looking forward to having a more specialised vision compensator.

They aren't harassed on the way to the small house, and it's quite obvious that the thing is a work in progress for the rebuild. The main framing is up, but not much of it.

"Well, this will be it. Our own little home."

York examines what little there is of the house.

'Probably good that it's in such early development,' he says. 'We can build what we need into it instead of modding it afterwards.' Though they'll need to be careful it isn't sabotaged.

"Come on, I can show you the pool. That won't change much. Right now all we've got is external walls. I need to determine how to work this out," Delta said, stepping through where there was clearly going to be a wall soon. "They haven't done very much because I haven't finalized plans."

'How much of a hand have you had in designing all this?' The more say they have here, the better and it sounds like Delta's pretty well involved.

"I'm the one who selected the architect," Delta admits. He was careful in arranging things, after all. For his own safety. "I'm in charge of much of this."

'Good.' He nods in approval. They can work with the architect going forward. 'Do you have the plans?'

“I keep them on a specialized hard drive in my rooms,” Delta explained as he skirted around the edge of the pool the walls were going up around. No doubt, with as security conscious as he tried to be, they were quite seriously protected.

Hell, Delta seemed pretty on top of this. "Great. I'm more than willing to help witch schematics and plan security features, even install some of them." He'd make sure Delta was safe in here.

Install them? Well now Delta turns his attention to York in shock. That was a possibility?

"You can do installations?"

Words mirroring thoughts.

He tensed, almost unnoticeable under the armour. Stupid rookie error, hinting at his old job. That was gone.

"I can. Helps to know locks and systems if you know how they're wired in." True.

Well don't tense, Delta's smiling at York, clearly pleased with this news. And he doesn't even think it's background stuff. York's explanation was a good one in his book.

"That's wonderful! We'll be able to manage things better!"

Delta doesn't seem to notice and he relaxes again, unable to help but feel pleased his skills have been met with such enthusiasm.

"Thanks. Sounds good!"

"Sounds great to me. Is there special gear I should be acquiring for you?"

He will happily provide everything that York needs and more. Including he needs to get more controllers for them to play games with. And another VR movie system.

Under his helmet, York lights up and his fingers twitch at the thought of familiar tools in his hands. He begins listing off the gear he would need for decent security work and instillation.

And of course Delta makes mental notes of it all as they continue moving through the space.

"You're quite thorough," he muses when York finally rattles to a stop, at this point standing in a roughly framed area that looks like it would be perhaps a study or something. "This is where your room will be."

"No use in a half job security system." He's very thorough, and he takes pride in it.

He nods, looking around the rough area, noting its position in relation to the other sections. "This will be good."

"Will it be okay to have a door separating us?" he asks, gesturing. Was it wrong to have that space?

[depthlesslock]

"That should be fine. Most Falconers sleep either in the same or adjacent room to their Hawks." What was the point in protection if it wasn't nearby?
