He has asked if I'll let Texas take him in my place.

She actually requested that she go with him, but she made him ask me first. If she wants to take him, I trust her judgment. Clearly he has already impressed her if she's willing to make that offer.

Omega is ready. And his certifying exams will be far more gentle than my recent ones were.

Have I explained his certifying process? There are three exams, only one of which has anything remotely close to active combat. There's a written portion, an accuracy test for guns and knives, and a hand-to-hand simulation to check his skill level. No one will be shooting at him. And if they do, your sister has every right to rip them apart.

I'm admittedly biased about her taking him. I told Texas that she could take Omega, but only if I were allowed to help look after the family in their absence.
