In less kind words. He won't tell me what you were trying to ask him about, he's trying to say it was about him not liking to text.

It's not. My records show that I noted that terseness from him does carry through with text, and so I was certain that he was upset. And when he said it was just because he doesn't like typing, I pointed out that I knew he was lying and there was something more going on.

Long story short he told me that I should go off and fuck Maine and that he doesn't want a supportive brother, so I was to leave him alone. I find that when he is upset the best thing to do is acquiesce.

Monday, when Sigma cooked dinner for us all? Omega was out on a date with Louisiana. He's been tense since. Something went wrong. I don't know what, he won't talk to me. I pointed out that he'd asked me to be open to him about Maine and my relationship and be able to turn to him. I told him that I wanted to be able to do that for him as well. And, basically, he told me he doesn't want me involved.

Perhaps you could talk to him? I'm worried that somehow Lou hurt him or he got mad and they had an argument he regrets or... Oh god, what if she made a move on him? That would be terrible!

Tex, please, just tell me if he's okay? I'm worried he's been hurt and he needs someone to talk to and I can't be that for him apparently. I just want to help my brother and he throws my unknown and very confused sexuality at me.

I'll ask. I don't know why he's trying to get mixed up in that woman's business, but I'll ask what's going on.

Perhaps seeing Sigma and myself in relationships has made him desire romance. He has been sleeping with her. But not like that. Omega's... He's asexual. I have to say that even if it isn't my place because you've got to understand if she made a move you can't make the mistake of asking why he didn't go for it.

He's not like that.

I've always wondered if he wasn't still interested in romantic entanglements, or possible deeply emotional platonic bonds, but they haven't come up before and if this Louisiana hurt him by assuming things, then... I just can't handle that.

I'll see what he's willing to talk about and I'm not going to jump to any conclusions about Louisiana until I hear what he says. She may have just made a stupid mistake.

I leave you the problem of Omega. Maybe he'll be better with an older sibling than with a younger. Because lord knows he's never taken me seriously. And apparently MAINE is a problem.

We can talk more about it later. I'll be staying the night at the house, I'm giving Omega my room on base for the next 24 hours so he can clear his head.

I MIND that he has a problem with Maine being involved with the family. I MIND that when we finally sit down to have a real family dinner he decides to flounce off with someone he apparently hates now. I MIND that he never talks and always assumes and twists words until they suit him and then it's absolutely true and no one else can be right.

You really think he has a problem with Maine himself? I have an odd feeling he has the same problem with the man I do - Maine seems to be doing a whole lot for you all that neither of us can do and called on even before I hear of major shit going down. It's not Maine's fault and it's not yours. He's doing what's right and Maine's a good man, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous when I heard he was the first called in when Epsilon got hurt. Or that he was the first one to even tell me the family was throwing a birthday party for you.

So cut Omega some slack because it sounds like having outsiders involved is a new thing for all of you. Let's see if some time away from the house helps him calm the fuck down and think more clearly.

Does it even matter that YOU were the one I called for when my implants failed? And I wasn't even aware of a fucking of the damn party.

Yes, it meant the damn world to me that you called for me. And even more when you wanted to spend part of your birthday with me. I don't know why you think I'm blaming you for any of this.

I just said Maine was a good man. Dating him means I don't have to worry about whether or not your boyfriend is going to treat you right because I know he will. I didn't say my jealousy or Omega's was justified which is why I haven't said a damn thing until now.

What I'm telling you is to give Omega some time. He needs to get used to not being the one you all run to whenever something goes wrong.

What he needs to get used to is that we worry about him and no age difference, no birth order, changes that. What he needs to get is that he doesn't get to expect a level of sharing and then hold himself above it.
