I... I was hoping I could work with Smithson to make his. There is some customization needing done, and Tex did buy me a shell for a model that I'd get for him. I could paint it, yanno. I... Maybe you're right. We should buy him one. We don't want to risk me making a mistake.

That is a much better plan. He'll like it much more than something off the shelf and I'll feel better knowing you did it. If you already have the shell, then we'll just do that. Were you still going to put the extra padding in there?

Well, I didn't know if you'd approve. It would ultimately be a discount of more than 8%, Smithson would cover it with warranties, and I can do the custom work for the padding and that with no labor costs. I can even get a discount on a speech-to-text program that would work on his HUD for when he wants to have his aids off. Little alerts and stuff to draw his attention to loud noises and such, to point him at origins. Like what Price got in my helmet when I was a kid.

I don't know... I'm still a trainee. I might not be good enough. I also was going to paint it for him.

When I got closer to done I was going to talk to Theta about how to paint it.

I didn't BUILD that, Meg. I helped Smithson design it. I came up with how it'd be decorated. I was allowed to put in the GPS and set up your city mapping program. That's it. I wasn't good enough to do anything but say how it should be. Anyone could do that.

Well, you like data. From the data I have, helmets are one of the many things you are good at, falling inbetween frustrating the hell out of me and feeding eight people on pocket change.
