Do you want space to be upset that this happened to you and it sucks? Or do you need space because you're deaf?

I need space because I'm deaf. Because if I come downstairs they're going to ask me things and I'm not going to know what they're asking. Because if I cook I could look away, forget the timer, and burn a meal. Because I can't watch TV with anyone or help anyone with homework or anything like that. Because I don't know how to live as a deaf man.

Honestly? I don't know. I figure eventually the fact that I wake up into a world of utter silence will stop being terrifying. I want to scream when I wake up, Omega. Which would do nothing for me, because I won't hear it. It will be too real. I haven't been able to sleep without Maine by my side, and now with him gone...

Is this a request for sleeping pills because I can get you some. Very safe, on the grocery store shelves.

But Friday we're going to the doctor's, and then we can go right to talk to York's medic buddies, and you are never going to get used to waking up without being able to hear. And if I have to, I will take my tiny shorts down the sidewalk to get the money. Gladly.

I tried those once, when we were younger. It... they leave me very disoriented in the mornings. I don't like them.
